Revamp the Busy Day
Oh how I adore eating a cold porkchop and dried cranberries at 10:30 at night!!
Yeah, that's just a hint of sarcasm. But dancing is worth it, so I won't complain too much. So yeah, I'm eating a cold porkchop and some dried cranberries. Very good, actually, I just wish we had some salad. I resorted to the cranberries for lack of the green stuff. I really kinda wanted salad tonight, but oh well.
For anyone reading this, I highly recommend that you go buy, or borrow from a friend or the library, All-American Girl by Meg Cabot. She's the author of The Princess Diaries books, too, and I can't get enough of her. Her writing style is so unique, and it completely pulls you into what is happening. Today, in English, Palmer was reading Beowulf to us, and I decided to read the book instead. In the hour that she read, I read about 94 pages. Granted, Ryan says there aren't an enormous amount of words on one page, but still. It's a page-turner. I almost regretted having to go to dance tonight, just because I wouldn't be able to read. And now it's just staring at me, telling me to ignore my homework. But I won't...'cause Jernt's test is tomorrow.
I went to the store tonight and picked up two poster boards [one for the HOPE project, and the other for my coat of arms] and some candy for Jernt, too. I got him two bags of Jolly Ranchers, and two bags of original Starburst. The poor guy, hitting students in the head with his candy, I thought he could use some help in restocking his supply. I always feel, not really bad, but something in that area, when teachers take out of their own pocket to do something extremely nice for us. He throws candy at us to keep us awake and avoid getting hit, plus the added bonus of the sugar rush. So yeah, he's doing enough by teaching us and making it more than somewhat interesting, so I figure I can buy him a few bags of candy.
I'm also listening to the Freaky Friday soundtrack. I heard Susan playing Lillix's "What I Like About You" for one of her jazz classes, and about died when I found out that it was the soundtrack. I begged her to let me borrow it, and I'll probably burn my copy tomorrow in between the time I get home from school and have to leave for the studio again. Desi gave me a CD, too. But this one I get to keep. She bought the new John Mayer album and said that she liked the songs, but she couldn't use anything in class. So, she thought of me! I have yet to listen to it, but I'm sure I'll get around to it sooner or later.
I really should get Jernt's review finished. I'm still definitely going to the review session in the morning, but I have a bit left to finish on my own.
